  1. Good to hear. I will still go with PPE :)
  2. I've heard pf plenty of issues which is why I've done my homework. Well the PPE option is some of the best there is no two ways about it and expensive for a reason. It also comes from FIGS who are well known for their quality of service. That V8 does not perform/sound to its full potential as stock while it might be OK for some it isn't for others yet for some of us it needs to be quiet when needed. I have neighbors to consider too. Besides its a Lexus I bought it for its legacy on reliability and I was happy to pay the premium for it so why ruin it with something that isn't? I just hope Varex will work out this issue for BLK ISF as I know how annoying this could be.
  3. Yeah I need quiet moment even meself I don't always like it loud and especially no drone, its always true in the end: you get what you pay for:)
  4. Sorry to hear. I nearly paid a deposit for one of these but I did some more research, I phoned around and asked all the reputable exhaust shops around Sydney and the majority suggested to stay away from these systems due to quality issues which you have just confirmed unfortunately. I am going to get the PPE system from the US. Its much more expensive but excellent quality.
  5. Very tempting, given this tune, headers and exhaust would push the beast over 400whp. Still, I'll wait for their supercharger.
  6. The RR Racing chaps talking about releasing a supercharger soon, now that I will sign up for.
  7. I've just spoken to them as I can't wait for stock levels to replenish and I am not entirely sold on the Xforce to be honest. Any chance perhaps maybe to to audition yours please?
  8. Yes I have a full set of rotors and pads I keep rotating for track and road use, the noise is unavoidable with OEM unfortunately otherwise. This car was born on the track for the track it needs to be driven hard ;)
  9. I did drive it on the track recently. It is a brilliant executive sports saloon however I still prefer the IS-F.
  10. My first IS-F a 2008 had over 110.000 on the clock it was tracked regularly very hard and not a single issue. It always went in for pre and post track inspections though. I don't punish the current one nearly as hard maybe I am becoming more sensible. They are indestructible.
  11. soo can one get a JoeZ with warex? have you noticed any performance boost?
  12. I won't tell my buddy who owns an A45 and loves it what you said about it :) Looks good indeed. Enjoy! Just out of curiosity did the 45 feel quicker?
  13. So this mod will definitely compromise warranty I guess??
  14. GS-F is a very nice gentlemen's sports saloon if you have the means I'd say well worth the money however some near new IS-F can be had for bargain price.
  15. As Peter said the GS-F is a very nice car but only if you are after a large luxury sedan if you want something smaller and nimble than the IS-F, I would not go below model 2011 as that's where all the upgrades were done which made a significant difference to the car. Either way you can't go wrong especially with value for money and reliability/peace of mind.
  16. Good to see all of you guys enjoyed it. It was a first of a kind so if you would like to make it happen again any time soon please let me know!
  17. I can easily tell them apart oncoming they just look mean in comparison but of course for the average person they are all the same. I am having more trouble with the RC 350 and the RC-F. Best comment I've ever heard was when I was at a dealership looking at getting my first F a couple remarked next to the F "this is just a 250 with some spare exhaust bits probably Japanese import" then I fired up the engine and buried the throttle leaving for me test drive. They must have taken a gazillion photos me taking off and waited until I returned in 30 min so they could ask all sort of questions such as "what in gods' name is this??" :)
  18. you can easily tell oncoming from any other IS, the F is lower wider and more aggressive looking overall and has the side wents. Like the 500 comment:)
  19. Please note the official time done by a pro driver (which also backs up my timing with the Pro driver today in my car): http://fastestlaps.com/tracks/wakefield-park What you have achieved with fading brakes and bad tires on a stock car is remarkable ;)
  20. Well you've fried them well! I was only timing the first session as I kept forgetting to reset the timer but around 1:14.00 ish too. However it seems Harry's timer was a little inaccurate today for many, we use RaceChrono as it seems more accurate and some of us had a proper GPS tracker and dedicated device. You did 170 on the straight where I did 180 max and seemed a little smoother around corners due to the Cup 2 tires so I think I could be lower but cannot be sure. The best average the guys did were 14s and the very best around 12.
  21. Very well done for 2nd time! Get sticky tires to reduce sliding and you will be doing great times. ..and yes we were getting slower the hotter it got. Regardless it was a great day.
