  1. about $550 ish if you are lucky but simply there is nothing better out there.
  2. ...just saw it myself yesterday. Well I am still waiting for the new IS-F. The price tag for this will about $180K ish. The problem with this one is the it won't fit into any category as its not at M5 levels but better than non M series , a bit of an orphan. To me its trying a bit too hard on the outside but the interior is great. I can see it appeal to a lot of people though as its huuuge.
  3. 275 will be fine. Note the Cup 2 is the official tire choice in the 911 Turbo S and such cars which need ultimate grip.
  4. I would only buy the Michelin Cup 2. They are the best of both worlds.
  5. Dust was minimal I recall, they lack a tiny bit of initial bite but progress well, no issues with them on the track no fade at all. None of them are as effective as OEM but the price gap just not worth going factory.
  6. Project MU did not work for me that well they were nearly as noisy as OEM and fade on the track however the street/racing StopTech worked flawlessly on and off track great performance and no noise at all.
  7. Don't be fooled by overpriced OEM stuff. While I agree OEM is optimal we've had much success with after market brands especially on the track. My Lexus dealer do sell after market and installs whatever I fancy but I still ask for their advice and only go ahead if they approve. Also for that kind of money you can get the much better Michelin Cup 2 tires nothing stick like those bad boys I shaved off 2 sec per lap using them.
  8. ..thought this turned out to be a decent pic. The Michelin Cup 2 look good on the rear too and stick like...
  9. For this reason I have special insurance for rims and paintwork and windscreen. Costs me $15/month, they'll repair rims, stone chips scratches etc whenever I fee like its time.
  10. I've had no issues with mine after adjusting the ride height. I really liked them. Look at the US forums and that will tell you more we ever could here.
  11. The exhaust is not yet fitted it will be done by the end of Aug once done I will be posting a clip.
  12. its in the comment s i believe, using nitros for sure.
  13. PPE headers and PPE switchable custom exhaust. I am running it exactly for the same reasons. Best of both worlds.
  14. Lexus/Toyota supplies these engines for drag racing in the US that speaks for itself.
  15. Get them form the US: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/19-Fits-Lexus-IS-F-Style-Wheels-Hyper-Silver-19x8-Set-of-4-Rims-W1x-/271826292433?hash=item3f4a1c0ed1 The originals are expensive because they wanted the first IS-F to be special in every way so they made the rims out of a special magnesium compound. Which is why I got the old rims on my new car as well.
  16. The IS-F rims are about 8K each new (the old ones were when I asked for a replacement quote). I think I saw replicas on ebay for around 1K... Which also explains why I was getting queries on the rims only when I was selling my 08 IS-F. They are waay too expensive.
  17. just imagine the potential this engine has easy 700hp if the ECU could be cracked properly.
  18. KW are the best for comfort on the street as well but yes they are a bit pricey. I did the upgrade on my previous car not the 2011. There is nothing to upgrade on the current suspension. I am sure you will be happy with your setup though.
  19. ISF engine is running at approx 60-65% capacity
  20. The solution is very simple: KW V3 I've been down the same path before and this was the only proper solution. I was thinking the Bilsteins too but nothing bests the KW however the B will be better than stock for sure.
  21. all I can add to this that I used to have an 08 model which I tracked regularly and used as a daily, not a single major problem, it had 110K on the meter when we parted ways. I would not worry about reliability issues if maintained properly. Make sure its been looked after and serviced as per schedule and you should be fine.
  22. why is it always being organised when I am away....:)
  23. using the cable that came with these: http://worldwide.bose.com/axa/en_au/web/quietcomfort_20i/page.html The best money can buy. While the cables make a difference it is the quality of the input source that matters most. I've tested the latest HTC, Samsung and Apple products and none come close to the Sony. The reason is simple, three key features that put the Sony above the competition: - proper manual sound equalizer. (not the preset unchangeable crap that we get these days such as in the IS-F) - has a feature that upscales low quality files to beyond CD quality (I would say around Blu-Ray quality sound). - has pre-calibrated headphone optimizations for many different types of headphones so you can pick the one that sounds best with your equipment. Since the issue with car's processor is that it filters and processes any input you use except the AUX which is normally a "straight through" type hence the only way to have decent quality coming out of the speakers. But since there is no additional amplifier in the line the volume input is low so the need to crank up the volume and the quality entirely depends on the source which is why is extremely hard to have decent quality throughput. Unfortunately I suspect you won't get the sort of quality with the Samsung device I am afraid as I've just tested the Samsung S6 but hope you prove me wrong. I suspect a very high quality portable music player with manual equalizer would be the only option such as the new Xperia phones. Also happy for you to listen to my setup if you are around. I've heard there is a new BT streaming device for the IS-F so looking into that as well so can control the playlist through the steering buttons etc.. Hope this helps.
