  1. OK so the claim has been rejected at the highest level on the basis of being a "failed transaction" not theft even though the police have reported it as a stolen vehicle. BTW the police have not been returning my calls either. So I am left without a car and $59K payout. Stay away From Allianz and spread the word!
  2. they would be waiting for them to do a bigger crime hence why they are sitting on your car, then they will add this charge to what ever crime they commit, its crap the way it all works stolen car they might get under 12 months if they have had previous offences ...yes I get the same feeling
  3. Just received a call from the Police. Finally there is a detective on the case. He explained that the car has changed owners 3 times already and they have fooled the RTA as well using fake IDs every time. So it is still out there and in good shape. I have mentioned to him that I have co-operated from day one and if it was up to me the car could have been recovered right away without any further issues due to me supplying sufficient information and identifying the suspect on day one. His response to that was “ I don’t know what to say to that”. So clearly the case got lost in translation within the Police departments hence the long delay and the current status.
  4. Development: I've been putting pressure on Allianz hence they've been doing the same with the police. So today the head detective took the case himself and said " this case should have been reported as a stolen vehicle not fraud that way we would have got onto it right away". No f....g kidding that is what I been telling them everyday since... So that's what we are up to in over two weeks.
  5. that is what I am doing at the moment. They are reviewing it now and will make a decision in the coming days.
  6. thanks guys appreciate the feedback. The insurance company has given up on the police as well so the investigator is filing their report and decision should be made early next week. If the claim is rejected than I will put pressure on the police big time especially as with my help we could have recovered the car day one. I quote the officer when I identified the suspects on day one: "yeah we know them they are well known criminals and have a fair idea where they are" yet nothing has been done whatsoever.
  7. Non at all. The police is utterly hopeless they say the case has STILL NOT been assigned to anyone after two weeks. I've lost my fate in the police long ago when our house got broken into and they did absolutely nothing and let me tell you that impression is now sealed forever. Insurance are waiting for the police report as well. They did not even ask me for a statement yet. Of course the reminder for an unpaid and unfair parking ticket arrived right on time yesterday. I went to the police website as I am considering an official complaint and the rules say you have the right to complain but if they find that it was not fair they can put you in prison for that. Really fair dinkum system we got in place don't we? Lightly put, I am furious...
  8. thanks guys appreciate your thoughts. Called the police today again same thing "ahh mmm it has not been allocated as yet call back later". It's been a week now... The insurance investigator has just left my place we had a good chat lets see what turns out soon. Also spoke to Lexus today and it turns out they had another customer recently going through the exact same drama a friend has also just been approached by someone suspicious lately it seems to be a popular scam these days so guys watch out!
  9. thanks. I am going to see my lawyer tomorrow and a private investigator. Its not so much for the car as it's most likely done for it's just to fight for the insurance money which in itself is ridiculous as there has been a crime and I still have to prove myself.
  10. today they told me it has not even been assigned to a detective. I get the feeling I will never see the car again.
  11. I don't want to piss them off but thinking of hiring a private investigator.
  12. I was told today by the police when I asked the question "why can't you bring them in or recover the car if you know who and where they are?" Answer: "this is not a Hollywood movie we can't just kick in the door and bust them, we need to follow certain procedures and we have to respect human rights etc... and if I were you I would not want that car back after what they are likely doing with it" So while criminals have rights and freely destroying my car I get told off to go home while we all know who and where. The officer even told me they have seen the car around yet can't catch it. On top of that the insurance company won't provide me with a hire car due to the circumstances because the police is not providing enough info. Does anyone else find this just a touch unfair?
  13. no I did not see the plate of the other car. What infuriates me is that I have positively identified them days ago and the Officer told me that they know who they are where they are but still they just won't bust them. pisses me off big time.
  14. well firstly you should tell your better half when you buy a car as such fuel consumption is irrelevant what matters is the fun factor, you'll be more likely to be easily giving in to her requests to go to places she wants because you'll just want to drive it at every opportunity. Having said that my long time average over the years was about 11-12L/100km and 35-40 on the track the best on a long trip from Perth to Syd was 7.8L so it really depends on what you want from it and how you treat it. Bottom line is for a big V8 it is hands down one of the most economical cars around due to the 8 speed gearbox.
  15. I found that the bulging bonnet of the IS-F seems to attract stonechips more then any other car I've had that is just part of the deal.
  16. The car has been seen around the western suburbs of Sydney CPG-16Z please keep an eye out!
  17. I actually prefer the old speedo it looks just more proper to my taste the new one has a km gauge that's too tiny the new layout fits track driving better though.
  18. during and it turned out to be a fake just like everything else they had. They were well organised they even had a little kid to make it look like a family.
  19. yeah that's what I am worried about what they may do with the car I am pushing they police but he won't even reply to my questions.
  20. these rats are drug dealers so it's sort of serious I guess.
  21. Had a chat to the Lexus service guys while my car was being looked after and they said this component might have been tempered with as by factory specs is sealed and should not get damaged by itself. Wonder what explanation you got?
  22. Yeah they surely will get what they deserve as now we know who they are the only question is what have they done to the car? Funny thing they turned up in another IS-F and went on about how they love this car and this will be for the missess blah blah they even had a 2 year old on the back seat when they dropped me off at the station after the transaction. Professional job however too bad they were already in the police database for previous crimes and were easily identified. What I don't get is why the police is waiting and not knocking on their door now ??? Not sure I will get any sleep tonight. f...k
  23. well insurance won't cover it saying I handed the keys over giving them permission to take the car which is unfair to say the least. The bank is investigating how this could happen they may have an insider. The good news is that I've been working with the police and in just a matter of hours I was able to identify them by their mug shots. So its now hopefully just a matter of time to get them and the car. Only hoping they have not done damage to it.
  24. unfortunately I've been fooled the car has been stolen. The cheque bounced and the buyers' phone number is disconnected they used fake IDs and fake everything. I've just reported it to the police but most likely it is being used to commit a crime and then burnt. So if it pops up somewhere please let me know.
