  1. IS250 was available in that blue... there was one at a cruise a while back. I recall seeing photos of it on here.
  2. Leave them in the glovebox... you won't forget then. No can do for me. I have to work at 6:30pm on the same night. Last minute wedding engagement party to photograph.
  3. There are instructions all over the place on how to remove the head unit. Basically, remove the vents above the EMV, remove the gear lever surrounds, then you'll be presented with 4 10mm bolts that allow for removal. The VAIS hardware sits next to the gear lever as there is plenty of space under there. The cable then runs around the back of the dash and pops out in the glove box. There is no cutting or drilling required (at least on an '09 model) to achieve this. I leave my iPod in the glovebox all the time, only removing it to update music. It's nice and hidden, and gives me a bit more room in the centre console which I use more frequently. I'm sure you could install it into the console if you wish, but it may require cutting, as I don't recall any holes you could poke the cable through. MD emulation is what you want to use. It supports playlists up to 999 tracks, whereas CD emulation only supports 99 tracks.
  4. Okay guys... I got the SL2i UP model, as I didn't care about the video capability at the time. I'm not regretting it either, as I've had video in another car before and certainly don't miss it. The VAIS unit integrates so well, you'd think it was a factory installation. Sound quality is absolutely perfect without any form of distortion whatsoever. The iPod/iPhone can be completely controlled by either the head unit or steering wheel controls. The unit comes up as a 2nd CD/MD stacker according to the head unit, but allows for full browsing (high speed) of all playlists, artists, genres etc. You lose zero functionality of the factory system (unless you have the external CD stacker option, which I'm not even sure was available in Australia) I like to do everything myself, so I didn't even consider looking into someone else doing it for me. I've been installing car stereos for nearly 15 years now, so very little baffles me these days. Whereabouts are you located David? I'll install it for $50 if you like :) I use the unit EVERY time I am in the car. I rarely listen to the radio unless there is a traffic jam somewhere, and never use the inbuilt CD stacker. I would give every rating for the unit 10/10. I really can't fault it.
  5. Did it myself... pretty easy on a 2009 model. Don't think it'll be any different on a previous model either. I'd allow for an hour maximum if it's your first time doing it. I could install it in < 10 mins if I had all of the tools in front of me.
  6. +19 offset on a 10" wide rim... boy that's gonna stick out the sides a bit.
  7. maybe we should all get together and do a group buy! danny can organise it! lol...... LOL! I'm keen tho... whatever will get us the best price.
  8. dis-lex-sic... can I come visit you at the dealership one day? Need to talk numbers and changeover.
  9. After convincing myself I don't need one, that price has lured me back in. What dealership are you at? I was at Sutherland 2 weeks ago for my service and once again they pretty much denied the car existed even tho I wanted to order one. They have virtually lost any repeat business from me.
  10. I doubt it... I was told before the service I'd be getting an IS250C, which never happened either. I requested an IS-F but that didn't happen :P
  11. LEX51S will be distributing stickers at the cruise, so anyone who needs them will still be able to get some :)
  12. They gave me a very thrashed IS250 Prestige with zero options. Boy do I feel good about getting the Nav/Bluetooth/Reverse Camera options now. Totally worth the cost. The car is useless to me without them.
  13. I can't make either 23rd or 30th. Photography work that I cannot reschedule. 23rd has been booked for 6+ months and 30th I have to be in Brisbane for a shoot. Sorry guys. I can mail out stickers if people want them still.
  14. You'll get that with virtually any lowered spring setup. As the overall spring height is lower, bumps will shake the spring slightly in its seat. Only (easy) way around it is coilovers.
  15. Police won't usually be the issue... insurance companies will if you have an accident however.
  16. Makes it all the more worthless now that Ed Hardy Australia is now broke.
  17. Apparently easier to apply and lasts longer. I've only just made the move from 1.0 to 2.0 so I can't tell the long term difference yet.
  18. I hate Accord HIDs. They are all adjusted a tiny bit too high from the factory and send me blind.
  19. Nxt 2.0 is good stuff... I use it also :) Great to hear how the car looks after the treatment.
