  1. Yep, I always look at the 3 options before hitting the Guide button. 2 of the options are generally identical though.
  2. Lance and I are nutting this mirror thing out. We've gathered our collective knowledge together. I'll be experimenting on the weekend :)
  3. That one is easy k2sty1... it's in the manual somewhere. I did it on mine soon after I got it. Hmm, it's easy on a 2009 model. Not sure if it's a dealer thing for earlier models or not. Can't hurt to try it tho.
  4. Sounds alright... what sorta things are we gonna cover? I've been looking into automating the side mirrors upon turning the car off (like an SL) but it's proving trickier than I thought for now.
  5. Hey guys... nice to finally meet all of you. A shame we only just missed the double digits... we just have to make everyone envious of the stickers and only sell them at meets
  6. At 4pm? I hope not... or you people in Sydney are a little different to us in the Gong
  7. Sharing is caring :P ilv... you've got 3 hours left to update with the new details
  8. Lexus of Sutherland claim a standard service is $495.00. Haven't had my first one yet tho, but as mentioned above, the 15k/12month one is free.
  9. Heheh no worries :) I do still love the wheels though, but I feel too old to go out buying new ones for mine
  10. Disturbing from an engineering standpoint. The suspension and steering will be under far greater stress in that configuration compared to offsets closer to +45ish. I recently sold my 514rwhp 2JZ Soarer, and even with that I kept to +38 offset (12mm from standard) even on a 10" wide rim to maintain driveability. I don't have any problem with the aesthetics of it, but for a street car it's just begging to be pulled over :(
  11. Using a smaller overall diameter tyre will improve acceleration but decrease top speed. It will also throw your speedo out, but will achieve what you're after without buying new wheels. The 18" wheels probably weigh more than 16s/17s, so would have a tiny effect on acceleration also.
  12. Boy the offset on those wheels it disturbingly wrong (waaaay too low), and illegal as the wheel protrudes outside of the bodywork. I do love the look of the Varianza tho... sexy wheels.
  13. 20% + P Plater = bad police attention and unsafe at night. Do it legally and save yourself many headaches. They are correct about the rear window too. Metallic tint will degrade radio reception. Black interior IS250s seem to look like they already have tint (well, mine does) so it will look very dark even at 30%.
  14. Stickers bought on the day will be a 2 for 1 deal as incentive to come along to the cruise - $5 for the pair. Everyone seemed to like the smaller sample I posted, so I'll bring ~10 each of white and silver versions so people can pick their favourites. That is a "yes" from me :)
  15. it is possible. the wiring diagram makes sense to me im an electrician tho, is this something you can buy?.. BUT!! im not sure it will really be worth the time it takes to do it. depends how bad you want it really. but its would take a few good hours or more at an auto electrician and probably longer to diy. BUT!!!! if you can get IS250 wiring diagrams somehow. it will half the time to do it. It helps, but it would be nice to compare it with a diagram of that for an IS model variant that has the auto folding mirrors as standard :D Without it, my guess is you'll need an SPST Normally Closed automotive relay switch. The relay coil goes across the orange cable (pin 8). One of the relay contacts are connected to the power supply for the power windows, and the other to the green cable (pin 9). When the power to the accessories is turned off, but the power to the windows is still available - as is the case when you have just switched off the engine - the relay switch will close, causing the mirror's retracting motor to fold the mirror. This is just my guess, but I hope it helps. I've done something very similar to this on a Smart Roadster... I'll see if I can work this out before the Sydney cruise, as it's something I've wanted my car to do since I bought it, but never had time or a diagram to go off. Hopefully I can work some magic... fingers crossed.
  16. Soooo... which one is P6. I've never actually parked anywhere but inside Autosalon before :P
  17. Which one is P6 at Homebush... will take me an hour just to get to the start point.
  18. Damn, that sucks... I guess the tools aren't as strong as they could be. Fortunately it looks like a decent toothpick or thin screwdriver would still do the trick.
