I'd hate to think of how many things I would run into without the reverse camera. The rear of the car is so damn high I can't tell what's behind me unless they are miles away.

I'd love one of those. Never have to remember to bring a key or have it bulging in my pocket. If you do get one, or anyone here uses one, please let us know how it goes.

Spotted a pre-facelift IS250 in Graphite in Auburn today travelling towards Bankstown. Was sporting some nice HRS Pegasus 19" wheels and lowered nicely. If the owner is on here, I was the guy in the smart car next to you for ~10km.

Doesn't quite work the same on a manual transmission car since there is no Park, but you will still be able to program yours so all doors unlock when you open the driver's door. Close as you can get.

There are instructions on how to achieve this yourself in the owner's manual on Page 40. Might be worth giving it a try before booking into a dealer. Edt: Just tried it on my '09. Works perfectly. The doors now unlock when I put the car into Park. My annoyed passengers can now stop whinging about it :P

Yeah, I got mine there a couple of months back. They do need to work on their communication. Several placed calls have never been returned. Chatswood seems to get glowing reviews constantly, so I may consider using them when service time eventually rolls around.

Lexus of Sutherland quoted me $495, but I am not sure how good their service is as I haven't required one just yet.

These have now been sold. Sorry to anyone who might have still been interested in them. Natroth, they were a low beam setup for Prestige models.

Reverting back took maybe 10 minutes and wasn't difficult at all. Installation takes about an hour, will be cut down to 30 mins using the pre-cut covers I have. Yes, the IS250 is definitely worthy of HIDs but I feel that 6000k might be a bit much for my liking (not to say it won't be for others). There is also a nagging partner who factored into the swap back, but overall I feel the halogens are easier on my own eyes.

I purchased the HID kit from Arco Imports (http://www.hidlighting.com.au/HID%20Conversion%20Kit%20Information.html) last month. I have been driving with the lights for about 2 weeks, and have changed back to standard halogens due to personal preference. The kit comes complete with everything needed, and the covers are geniune Lexus ones (they are actually my factory ones which I've made holes in, ready for the conversion). The HIDs are unbranded, but Lex from Arco Imports says that they are from the same OEM as the Philips kits.

GPS units are generally accurate to around 10m. So at 100km/h, this is around 1% error rate. People are experiencing up to 10% error with factory speedometers in this thread. You could always test with multiple GPS units in the same vehicle and get an average, although I think all GPS units would be reading the same speed give or take 1km/h.

Just noticed you are from Wollongong... what colour IS are you running around in? It seems that 90% of the ones down here are black, and about five Graphite ones (me included) and the one white one I spotted today.

Changing coils/dampers is a terrible way of removing body roll, and is not recommended (I have a mild racing background). If you wish to reduce body roll, you should really be looking at replacing the sway bars. I'm with ProjectIS... just find a simple set of springs for the 1" drop and work on the body roll elsewhere.

I had mine out the other day, but didn't take notice of a rubber outlet. Probably a water drainage point by the sounds of it.

Tested out my new '09 IS250 tonight... GPS was reading 105km/h while my speedo was reading 110km/h, so I get around 5% difference on the "safe" side. I'm running factory 17" wheels and tyres. Just adding some info to the thread.

Can barely see the wheels in any of those photos :(

Is there a firmware update available for the HTC? I use a Nokia N95 and the Bluetooth is rock solid for me. Has never dropped out on me once connected. I used to have issues with Bluetooth about 2 years ago with an older vehicle, but a firmware update from Nokia fixed it right up.
