So im looking for front brake pads for my 2011 is350 f sport, however almost every site i see only lists the is250 i remember reading somewhere that the pads for both models are the same, could anyone confirm? ive decided to go with bendix general ct for around $80. i spend a majority of my time in peak hour traffic so i dont see the point in getting super high performance pads that only work when warmed up + throw out heaps of dust (had ebc green stuff many years ago and had to clean my rims twice a week, not doing that again!) cheers!

any particular reason why, other than the look at me factor? unless your living in the snow and need to warm up your car for several minutes, its rather pointless. the electric seats warm up within 30 seconds, and the heater within a minute or two. for the engine, just drive slowly for the first minute or so and you will be fine

A good reliable honest Mechanic
water replied to Denisa33's topic in General Lexus Discussions Forums
just talk to some of your elderly family and friends members, ask them where they take their cars for the regular service. if you have a look at your service list of items, most of them are just check this, check that. the only real thing that actually gets replaced is the engine oil and filter, which any mechanic can do, so you dont have to go to a lexus dealership :) -
nice car out of curiosity, i thought the f sport models came fully optioned (including sunroof), or it is that a majority of f sport buyers just optioned the sunroof

morning all. thought i would reply to this thread than to create a new one am going to service my car soon (114,000km's) and am doing research on which engine oil to use have done quite a bit of reading on various forums with many different recommendations i have shortlisted to either a 5w-30 or 10w-30 fully synthetic engine oil i am in melbourne, so we do get some cold mornings, around 3 degrees, however in summer we can also easily get upto 40 degrees. i mainly drive in traffic, however i do give it a good "workout" several times a week :D just curious to see what engine oil you all currently use? cheers

also to add to this: a camry is front wheel drive, a forester is all wheel drive. your is250 is rear wheel drive, so it will handle and behave differently. i have a 350 and find the steering wheel fine, however thru work and personal life i get to drive many cars so it doesnt come as a shock. you should try driving a golf r. even on its normal setting, it was even heavier than the is350 is

any update on this? could you confirm if it will work on my car - late 2010 is350 f sport. a working real time video demonstration on an Australian spec car would be good, to see resolution and responsiveness of the program, as others have mentioned, if your going to spend $500, you want it to be awesome, not just "ok". thanks.

i think this is the signs of me getting "old" however, i havent heard a single exhaust for this car which sounds good. they all just sound like ricer crap to me. it could depend on your age\work situation too however. if your young, going to uni etc then go for it. slightly older, working full time, professional occupation? not so much if we were talking about the v8 isf, completely different story. v8's deserve to be heard, regardless your demographic :)

i had a similar scam, however im not sure how it would have worked. in your example, an easily refundable paypal transfer is used. in my example (was selling a watch) they were offering to transfer cash into my bank account, and i stated that i would wait a few days\weeks to confirm full clearance of funds before sending the goods. i didnt go thru with it in the end because it was obviously a scam, but i always wondered how they would do the scam? as in, can a bank transfer be reversed?

had one as a loan car the other day, had a few gripes, but my main was, in electric mode, the acceleration from a standstill was painfully slow? as in, it took a good 10 seconds just to get to around 40kph! its like almost rolling down a slight hill in incline, there was almost no power at all! now i understand this is an electric car, but i honestly thought there was something wrong with it, or i left the handbrake on. it only had 5000 km's so it wasnt due to wear and tear.

tried it this morning (plugging iphone cable straight into the usb port and using apple music) and it works! im amazed! it has full functionality on the touch screen too, shows playlists, albums, genres etc even podcasts only "bug" i encountered however is that if im in the playlist\album view, when i scroll down, it for some reason automatically changes to whatever playlist\album is now at the top of the screen, kinda annoying, but worth it for the additional functionality
