Yes. How often you clay will depend on where and how the car is kept. If it's always outside even overnight then you will need to do it more often. I have done mine once so far but am about to do it again as I will polish it up for summer. My car is in a garage overnight but outside during the day. So I do it about every 4-6 months My process for full external makeover is to wash, clay, polish, wax, wax. 2 thin coats of wax are easier and better than trying to do one thin coat. On a black car it looks brilliant.

Nothing Like that. It's like rubbing your car with a lump of plasticine. You spray on some lubricant then rub the area and it removes all the little bumps. You won't believe how easy it is until you try it. Try this pdf file to see how it's done. http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/public_file/46 I wouldn't wax/polish my car before claying it.

ldc Have you tried claying your paint? http://www.carcareproducts.com.au/products...y_bars_and_kits This does a great job of removing the contaminants that will bond to the paint and make it feel rough. It can then be easily waxed, and will then be much easier to clean. The contaminants will always settle on the horizontal surfaces, (bumper, boot lid, bonnet and roof) moreso than the sides of the car. Even a brand new car off the boat will benefit from the claying as it collects a lot of cr@& between the factory and your dealer.

No. Bendix make very good pads, it's just that the material they are made from may be a different composition to the ones on our Lexus' as OEM. Lexus will have spent some time matching the pads composition with the discs/rotors composition for the performance they were looking for. By changing one or the other you affect the original performance. Usually it's pretty minor and most people wont pick the difference. I'm sure your new pads will be fine.

This website has loads of different brands and you will be able to find everything you need to clean your car, inside and out. Not always cheapest but a great place to see what is available and easy to look at products by brand or by useage. Along with leather cleaner you should also get leather conditioner, or an all in one, if time is a concern. I'm always amazed at the colour that comes back into the leather after conditioning, especially on my black interior.

The bottom of the hazard light button has an indent to allow you to get some leverage to pull the facia out. Kinda like a fingernail notch to remove a battery cover on your TV remote control. Having said that, once I got the removal pins into the right position the facia just came away easily with the pins. I didn't need to use the button notch. :P
