Hi mate, Not sure if you realise, but redouts are just adhesive cut outs that you stick over the orange part of ya rears. I guess put the question forward to QQQ, are they straight forward to align??? You will find them on ebay from anywhere between $10 & $20!! If you screw it, peel them off!! From what QQQ said, its the Smoked ones that are difficult as they cover the whole light !!!

Well, like you said, it is a digital amp even though the wirenet says that is a stereo amp. (Go figure)!! How or rather where did u tap in?? Being a digital input, yes the amp does all the processing for the 5.1. You have definately got the right frequency and portions going to the existing sub and I don' think no matter what you use to convert the high to a low, U will ever get the clarity that you after!! Have you priced a replacement digital amp at all?? Being the single input, all you will need is the wirenet that I have to rewire your existing drivers and obviously add ya sub of choice!! Sorry, had to add the pic cause I love Alpine (from the old skool see) and I thought it just looks damn nice!! Didn't look at the specs at all!!! ;)

Hey Ghast, Mate, I haven't heard such bad feelings towards the car since I read that post couple of months ago with the guy that had an absolute nightmare with his car........ Tell you what, I definately feel for you because I know there is nothing worse then when they are constantly tampering with your car to make it right! Its just not the same as when it comes from the new from the factory. Its like when you prang it, its never the same. Keep the pressure on em.......keep insisting that its still not right untill they get it right or do something more!! Good luck with it mate and I'd say that you were one of the unlucky ones to get a car thats not quite 100%!! I know most of us feel the build quality is second to none!!!

Hey Cevu, Im not 100% sure that I quite know what your question is.......... Im assuming that you are wanting to remove the ML unit completely and replace it with another head unit!! Perhaps a double din in place of the LCD. IMO, I wouldn't do it!! I think that you would de-value the car if you went with that option. But that is your decision to make, not mine...........so........ I was looking through the wirenets for the ML trying to figure out what type of mess you would be dealing with!! You have to remember, info from the ECU, crank pos sensor etc,etc all indirectly go to the unit. Yeh sure it is mostly for the onboard diag, but this does make the elim process that much more difficult. Come service also, its info that they will not have access to! U may not know, but even the non ML's have NVM access through the HU.. Look, to make it even less inviting, you will have a whole heap of buttons on the steering wheel that will do nothing aswell! Mate, I reckon if you are that keen on introducing a new headunit or something that is just different, fashion up a new console that makes a prevision for a piggy back unit. Wire it in and keep the LCD functional for everything other then the audio side!! OR just do what Niick suggested and wack all new drivers in with a beefier amp!!! Personally I love the ML sound quality, don't think an aftermarket setup will do much better. Remember, the sound is only as good as the speaker drivers so hope U planning to spend some cash if thats what you after brother!!! Anyway, hope I helped in some weired a@$ way!! ;) Later! ProjectIS, you definitely need product on your dash to stop it drying out and aging. I use a cleaner then 303 protectant which sounds similar to the vinyl and rubber care product discussed earlier, but also says it it provides UV protection. Essential on the dash if you don't want it to fade. Thanks Bluey!! See, I keep on hearing conflicting ideas on the subject of dash protection. Some say do it, and do it when new, and others say keep it protectant free. (Less likely to get damaged prematurely). The UV protection does sound logical, but from what I understand, the rubber is porous and you don't want to change that in anyway. But it definately sounds like you know your stuff so I will go out and get some of the product soon. Thanks again mate!!!

Hey Ilv, Tell us more...... (How long were you planning on keeping it a secret lol???) Where from and how much?? Im assuming that you live close to me so...... U would of sourced them through...... - Lovells Springs Central (Parra) - MRT Performance (Rhodes) - Pro Concept (West Ryde) I was checking out a Rexxy forum not long ago and it seemed that alot of the guys were buying Teins through Lovells. Im assuming that they had the best price. Haven't had a chance to call em yet to see if they stock the springs for the IS. Have y'all seen the tutorial for replacing the springs? Don't know if I should post it here! I was thinking, yeh it doesn't cost much to get them fitted, but my concern is that they might not take the extra care when fitting em like I would if I was doing them. Doesn't seem any more difficult then cars i have done in the past. What y'all think!?!?!?

Hey Ilv, Would be pretty cool!!! Especially cause I assume they are year 10's!! Like you say, you would have to have a line up to make it look affective!! I was doing the math and I worked out that I would need probably 6 kids in the back and 3 in the front to get the inch and a half drop that I need so that I look cool rock'n up there lol!!! Yeh, I remember Cevu mentioning something along those lines as well! The green is seriously old school! Why Lexus, why??? I like the white and blue, very classy........ The RGB for the start, not really a fan!! On another lighting mod, we spoke about the Halo's. Check out how good this looks. Even the fogs are done. (The halos that is))!!! Looks kinda mean!!! Don't know if anyone else saw, but there was someone selling IS seats and headlight on ebay about 3weeks ago. I was tempted to buy the head light so that I could see whats involved in the dismantle and fitting of the halo!!! Anyway!
